Her knowledge of the city and culture was impressive and engaging, and she was very eager to share her city with us, including her favorite Turkish coffee spot and her favorite pastries and hidden treasures, as well as the beautiful streets and stores of the incredible bazaar. We got an afternoon with a lot of information, which gave a whole new depth and empathy in knowledge of the old part of Skopje including the Old Bazaar and the Fortress. The guide, Vasilka Dimitrovska, brought the information to life through fantastic stories. Mixed with a lot of humor, it gave me a whole new experience about Skopje, which I have visited many times before. The stories of Ottoman Heritage's Skopje, which Vasilka presented in a very exciting way, made us want to know more all the time. It was a long afternoon but every minute was so rewarding. We visited unique and cozy places where we could drink coffee and have lunch, places we probably never would have found otherwise.
